Train or Taxi to Terminal 4?

Heathrow Express no longer stops at Terminal 4. Passengers must take the Elizabeth Line, the free Heathrow inter-terminal bus to T2/T3, or a taxi. The Elizabeth Line is the only direct rail option to T4.

A pre-booked taxi removes the transfer and the time uncertainty. You arrive at the T4 departures door, with luggage, ready to check in. No shuttle wait, no platform change.

Booking a Taxi to Terminal 4

Pre-book your taxi and the fare is locked at booking. No meter, no surge. All Heathrow drop-off charges are included. Adding your flight number lets us track delays automatically.

Where your driver drops you

We drop you at the Terminal 4 departures level on the airport's south side. Look for the SkyTeam check-in signs as you walk in. Air France, KLM, Delta, Korean Air, Saudia and others all check in here. The 10-minute drop-off limit applies; the £7 charge is part of your fixed fare.

Best route to T4

T4 is on the southern side of the airport, away from the central terminal cluster. Most pre-booked taxis to T4 use M25 Junction 14, then the Southern Perimeter Road. From central London, the A4 then M4 takes you in via the perimeter route. Allow a few extra minutes versus the central terminals.

Evening departures from T4

T4 handles a heavy evening departures wave for Etihad, Korean Air and other long-haul carriers. Drop-offs from 6pm to 9pm are common. Tell us your check-in target time and we time the pickup back from there.

Taxi from Heathrow Terminal 4

Landing at T4 from a SkyTeam, Etihad or other long-haul flight? Here's how pickup works at the southern terminal.

Where your driver waits

Heathrow does not allow pickup at the kerb outside T4. Terminal 4 changed in June 2026, when the multi-storey car park closed for redevelopment. Your driver now waits in Zone A of the Terminal 4 Park and Ride. A free shuttle bus runs from the terminal door every 15 minutes. Your driver confirms the bay before you land.

How you find your driver

Before you land, we email your driver's name, car and registration. Once you're through customs, message your driver on WhatsApp. No UK SIM? Connect to "_Heathrow Wi-Fi" inside T4 and message at no cost.

Late-night long-haul arrivals

T4 handles many evenings and overnight long-haul arrivals, particularly from the Gulf and Asia. Driver pickups at 11pm or later are routine for us. Your driver waits whatever time you land, with 45 minutes free wait built in.

Prefer to be met inside arrivals?

Add meet and greet for £20 at booking. Your driver waits in the T4 arrivals hall holding a name board near the exit. Helpful after a 14-hour Etihad or Korean Air flight. The last thing you want is to find the car park alone. For the full pickup process at every Heathrow terminal, see our Heathrow airport pickup zones guide.

Where do taxis pick up at Heathrow Terminal 4?

At Zone A of the Terminal 4 Park and Ride. The T4 multi-storey car park closed in June 2026. Take the free shuttle bus from outside arrivals, and your driver meets you at the car park.

Does the Heathrow Express stop at Terminal 4?

No. Heathrow Express runs Paddington to T5 with a stop at T2/T3 only. For T4, take the Elizabeth Line, the free inter-terminal bus from T2/T3, or a pre-booked taxi straight to the door.

How do I get from T4 to the central terminals?

Heathrow runs a free inter-terminal bus between T4 and T2/T3, which then connects to T5. The bus takes 10 to 15 minutes plus waiting time. A pre-booked taxi makes more sense when you're tight for time or carrying heavy luggage.

What if my flight is delayed?

Nothing extra to pay. We track every long-haul flight in real time, including the overnight T4 arrivals from Etihad, Saudia and Korean Air. You also get 45 minutes free waiting time from the moment you land.

Do you provide child seats for Terminal 4

Yes, and they are free. Add your child's age at booking and the correct seat is fitted before your driver sets off. There is nothing to assemble at the terminal. See our Heathrow taxi with child seats page for the full detail.
