T2 shares its rail station with Terminal 3. Heathrow Express and Elizabeth Line trains both stop there. Walking from T2 arrivals to the platform takes five to seven minutes, depending on which exit you take.
A pre-booked taxi skips the walk, the queue and the luggage haul. Most Star Alliance arrivals land in waves between 6am and 9am. The trains don't run faster at peak; the queues just get longer. The taxi arrives when you do.
Booking a Taxi to Terminal 2
Pre-book your taxi and the fare is locked at booking. No meter, no surge. All Heathrow drop-off charges are included. Adding your flight number lets us track delays automatically.
Where your driver drops you
We drop you at the Terminal 2 departures level. Look for your airline's sign as you walk in. Lufthansa, United, Singapore, ANA, Swiss and other Star Alliance carriers check in at T2, along with Aer Lingus. The 10-minute drop-off limit applies; the £7 charge is part of your fixed fare.
Best route to T2
The fastest route to T2 is the central terminal area via the M4 Junction 4 access road. T2 sits next to T3, so the entry route is identical. Inside, signage routes you to the Queen's Terminal entrance.
Star Alliance business travel
Most T2 flights run multiple times a day between Heathrow and major European hubs: Frankfurt, Munich, Zurich, Vienna. Long-haul Star Alliance routes serve Tokyo, Singapore and New York. Pre-booking matters when a missed flight means the next morning, not the next hour.

Where your driver waits
Heathrow doesn't allow pickup at the kerb outside T2. Your driver waits in Short Stay Car Park 2, directly facing the Queen's Terminal arrivals hall. Walk through the exit, head across, and find your car. Signs inside the car park guide you to the right level.
How you find your driver
Before you land, we email your driver's name, car and registration. Once you're through customs, message your driver on WhatsApp. No UK SIM? Connect to "_Heathrow Wi-Fi" inside T2 and message at no cost.
Heading into London after landing
Heading into London from T2? The A4 leaves the central terminal area heading east into Kensington and on through Mayfair. Allow 45 minutes off-peak or up to 75 in rush hour.
Prefer to be met inside arrivals?
Add meet and greet for £20 at booking. Your driver waits in the T2 arrivals hall with a name board near the exit. It's worth it for early-morning Star Alliance arrivals or anyone wheeling heavy cases through the central terminal area. How much is a taxi to Heathrow Terminal 2?
Fares are fixed at booking with no surge pricing. A saloon to T2 starts from £38 for local pickups. Distance routes: Windsor £47, Guildford £68, Cambridge £147. Enter your address for an exact quote.
Where do taxis pick up at Heathrow Terminal 2?
At Short Stay Car Park 2, directly facing the Queen's Terminal arrivals hall. Heathrow does not allow kerb pickup. Walk across after customs, follow car park signs, and meet your driver.
Is Terminal 2 the same as the Queen's Terminal?
Yes. Heathrow renamed Terminal 2 the Queen's Terminal when it reopened in 2014. Signage and boarding passes show both names. If your ticket says "Queen's Terminal" or "T2", it's the same building.
What if my flight is delayed?
