The price depends on your pickup postcode, your destination airport, and your vehicle type — and the fare is fixed at the moment you book. The quote shown in the booking tool is the all-in price, including tolls, congestion charge and airport drop-off fee where applicable. There is no surge and no late-night surcharge. How early should I book my airport taxi?
For most journeys, book 24 to 48 hours ahead. For early-morning pickups (3am, 4am, 5am), Christmas, New Year, or summer school holidays, book at least 7 days ahead — driver availability tightens fast during these windows. Same-day bookings are accepted when capacity allows; call 0161 660 9647 to check live availability. Your fixed price is the same regardless of how far in advance you book.
What happens if my flight is delayed?
We track every inbound flight automatically, so if your flight lands early or late your driver's arrival is adjusted at no extra charge. Once your flight lands, you get 45 minutes of free waiting time as standard before any waiting charge applies. Most delays are absorbed inside that 45-minute window. For longer delays, additional waiting time is charged at a clear hourly rate shown at booking.
Where will the driver pick me up at the airport?
Your driver picks up from the official PHV pickup zone for your terminal, which varies by airport. At Heathrow that's the short-stay car park for each terminal; at Gatwick it's the short-stay car park linked to your terminal; at Manchester it's the short-stay car park for Terminals 1, 2 or 3. You'll receive your driver's name, phone number and vehicle registration by SMS before pickup. If you've booked meet and greet, your driver waits inside arrivals with a name board.
Can I cancel my booking without being charged?
Yes — free cancellation up to 3 hours before your scheduled pickup time. Cancel through your booking confirmation email, or call 0161 660 9647 at any hour. Cancellations made within 3 hours of pickup are charged the full fare, as a driver has already been dispatched or is committed to your job. There is no penalty for changing your pickup time as long as the change is made before the 3-hour window.
Are your drivers and vehicles licensed?
Yes — every Fastlane Transfers driver holds a current PHV badge from one of our seven UK licensing authorities. Every vehicle carries a current PHV licence plate, valid MOT, and full hire-and-reward insurance — the higher-tier policy UK law requires for paid passenger transport. All drivers are DBS-checked. Do you provide baby seats and child seats?
Yes — one baby seat is included free with every booking, and boosters or child seats are available on request at no extra charge. Add your requirement during booking (age and weight of the child) and the seat will be fitted before pickup. Confirmation appears on your booking email. For families travelling with multiple children, the 6-seater MPV or 8-seater minibus gives you the room you need without splitting across two vehicles.
